Re-Ramblings

A blog about it all, rambling on!

Are there any flatable beds or very comfy sleeping bags?

I have to sleep on the floor for a week. Last time I did that my back ended up aching even when I tried using pillows as a replacement for a mattress. Blow up mattresses (whatever you call it) aren’t comfy at all…

Are sleeping bags the next best thing? What brands?

There are comfy inflatable mattresses, but you will need one that is designed for sleeping at home, not one that is small in size for backpacking nor one designed for using in a pool.

Sleeping bags are alright, but like the inflatable mattresses, you need one that is designed for the use you put it to.
I have several mummy bags, very warm for camping out in the open on a cold night, but not the most comfy for sleeping on the floor at home.
You may even want to make your bed with normal blankets or duvets, whatever you are used to, if you stay at home.
If you have to bring your own sleeping bag, I think you will want one that can be opened into a blanket, as it has the most space for your legs and will not restrict your movements as much.
The brand of the sleeping bag is the least important, specially not if you use it indoors where the temperature will be mild.
The ‘best’ brands are known as the best because they make gear for camping out in the snow and such, which is not what you need.
